Respiratory Therapist II Specialist

As a Respiratory Therapist II, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Under the guidance of medical and supervisory staff, you will administer a range of respiratory care modalities, including mechanical ventilation, to patients in various care areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and terminate mechanical ventilation according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate and maintain blood gas analyzers to ensure accurate results.
- Prepare and distribute work assignments in accordance with departmental policies.
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, with a minimum of 1 year in respiratory care.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in the healthcare industry.
- Graduate of a 2-year R.T. program with a satisfactory clinical rotation.
- Able to operate blood gas equipment and basic knowledge of PC operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, with a minimum of 1 year in respiratory care.
License/Certification:
- Current State of California RCP license.
- American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification.
- American Heart Association ACLS certification.
