Sterling Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive environmental health and safety program that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and promotes a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create and maintain written programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Conduct Audits and Inspections: Represent Sterling Engineering during audits and inspections from OSHA, customers, and government agencies. Facilitate corrective actions and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
- Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes of incidents and accidents. Collaborate with leadership and human resources to implement corrective actions and prevent future occurrences.
- Provide Training and Development: Design and deliver safety training programs to ensure employees are aware of emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics. Schedule and deploy training sessions as needed.
- Manage EHS Compliance: Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field. Master's degree desirable.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 Hour Certification in both Construction and General Industry.
- Experience: Five years of related experience preferred.
- Skills: Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, with experience in a manufacturing facility and construction site.
