Job Title: Route Delivery Driver

At Performance Food Group, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Route Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Route Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport products to customers.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL-A license.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD).
  • Customer service-related work experience.
