Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Route Driver - Class B to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food and food-related products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer, verifying delivery of items with customers and obtaining proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and load customer returns onto the trailer.
  • Ensure the tractor, trailer, and freight are properly locked and secured.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL-B license
  • 6+ months of commercial delivery experience
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD)
