Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team in the Computer Science department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses related to cybersecurity, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and assessment.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity, including hands-on projects and experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and assess curriculum.
- Assess and grade student performance accurately and promptly.
- Provide feedback, mentorship, and guidance to students.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in cybersecurity.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Exceptional candidates without a master's degree who have demonstrated sustained industry and leadership track in the field of computing will be considered.
- Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment.
- Cryptography: in-depth understanding of modern cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric ciphers, elliptic-curve cryptography, cryptanalysis, and mathematical backgrounds.
- System security: in-depth understanding of system security, including operating system kernel, digital forensics, reverse engineering, attacks and defense at network layer, and file and storage system.
We offer a competitive salary range of $1,387-$2,500 per credit, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
