Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, NursingWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Adjunct Faculty member to join our Department of Nursing at Hofstra University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level nursing courses, as well as contributing to the development of innovative curricula and experiential learning pedagogies.
Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level nursing courses in the Department of Nursing
- Develop and implement innovative curricula and experiential learning pedagogies
- Engage in community service and professional development
- Maintain clinical/professional experience in the field of accreditation of undergraduate and graduate-level programs
- Support efforts to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students
- Master of Science or Doctorate in nursing, cardiovascular sciences and perfusion medicine, pharmacy or closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Peer-reviewed national/international presentations and publications preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, leadership, and time management skills
- Outstanding computer skills, including proficiency in Canvas, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching at the collegiate level
- Preference for individuals with experience providing instruction in pharmacology, nursing research, or experiential learning pedagogies
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP)
