Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Westmont, Illinois.
This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week, working days. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac catheterization and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of technical equipment.
- Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures, adhering to high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to stay up-to-date with new procedures and technologies.
- Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff, identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards.
- Assist with new staff orientation and serve as a resource person for clinical activities.
- Typically requires 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience, with demonstrated proficiency in PTCA and EPS.
- AAS in RTR or RTN license, or a minimum of 5 years of experience as RTR or RTN.
- Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year, with a focus on maintaining current certifications and licenses.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate patient and unit needs.
- Ability to teach procedures to staff and work effectively in a high-stress environment.
