About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Westmont, Illinois.

This is a full-time position that requires 40 hours of work per week, with a shift schedule of days. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac catheterization and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of technical equipment.
  • Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to stay up-to-date on new procedures and technologies.
  • Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff, identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards.
  • Assist with new staff orientation within the department, serving as a resource person for clinical activities.
  • Act as a role model within the department, promoting excellence and quality in all aspects of care.
Requirements
  • Typically requires 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience, with demonstrated proficiency in PTCA and EPS.
  • AAS in RTR or a minimum of 5 years' experience as RTR preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year.
  • Current License in the state of IL as a RT and ACLS certification within two years of employment.
  • Ability to function in a high-stress environment, lift and move heavy patients and equipment, and work flexible hours and on-call basis.
