We're seeking a talented Design Studio Specialist to join our team at Williams-Sonoma in Union Square. As a key member of our sales team, you'll inspire customers to express themselves in their home and bring the shopping experience to a seamless close.

About the Role

You'll utilize your design expertise to assist clients in one-on-one consultations, creating personalized design plans based on their needs, style, and preferences. Your exceptional communication and clienteling skills will ensure a seamless customer experience, from initial consultation to final sale.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert design consultations to clients, utilizing your knowledge of current sales and promotions to drive store sales.
  • Perform in-home consultations, accurately measuring and assessing clients' living spaces to create tailored design plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions to achieve and exceed established sales and productivity goals.
  • Utilize exceptional customer service standards to assist clients with special services, including gift wrap, gift registry, and furniture orders.
  • Demonstrate superior product knowledge, including features and benefits of the entire design studio assortment.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience, with a focus on specialty retail.
  • Strong communication, clienteling, and customer follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting sales goals.
  • Physical ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods and lift medium to large items, up to 75 lbs.
