Role Responsibilities

The Assistant Coach for Girls' Junior Varsity Tennis will support the head coach in managing the JV tennis team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of practices and game strategies.
  • Motivating and instructing student-athletes in techniques and sportsmanship.
  • Promoting physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork among players.
  • Ensuring compliance with Branson and league policies regarding athletic conduct.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all student-athletes.
  • Overseeing the behavior and supervision of athletes during practices and competitions.
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff, while resolving conflicts professionally.
  • Representing Branson positively in all community interactions.
  • Managing equipment maintenance and inventory.
  • Completing necessary administrative tasks, including timekeeping and record maintenance.
  • Attending all scheduled practices and games punctually.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in coaching tennis.
  • Certification: CPR certified through the American Red Cross.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle conflicts effectively.
Physical Demands

This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift and carry equipment, stand for extended periods, and assist athletes of varying sizes.
