Job Title: Assistant Freshman Boys Basketball Coach

At The Branson School, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Freshman Boys Basketball Coach to join our team. This is a part-time, seasonal position that requires a strong passion for basketball and a commitment to developing the skills of our student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise the Freshman Boys Basketball program, working closely with the Head Freshman Boys Basketball Coach to ensure the success of the team.
• Develop and implement training programs and practice schedules that promote physical fitness, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
• Communicate regularly with team parents and staff to ensure a positive and supportive team environment.
• Ensure the regular supervision of student-athletes at home and away games, promoting appropriate behavior and adherence to training rules and regulations.
• Represent The Branson School in a professional manner, interacting thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, parents, and officials.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• One to two years of experience as a basketball coach at the high school or collegiate level.
• CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive student-athletes to off-campus trainings and games.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience working with diverse groups of people and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy work, requiring the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Ability to assist with athletes of various weights and heights, and to stand for long periods of time.
• Good mobility skills and ability to walk long distances, with the ability to carry training kits and coolers for extended periods.
