About the Role

Cisco is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to lead the Hypershield program, a critical component of our cloud and network security portfolio. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex program execution, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage program execution, including multi-functional coordination and inter/intra team communications.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product Management teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Lead product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new features.
  • Identify risks and dependencies, define and adjust plans to mitigate and manage accordingly.
  • Monitor program progress and communicate status updates to internal and external teams.
  • Lead program gates to ensure compliance, alignment, and executive transparency.
  • Drive day-to-day program activities to meet overall program objectives.
  • Resolve conflicts by focusing on shared purpose and mutual understanding.
  • Drive retrospectives and measurable process improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related experience or Master's degree with 8+ years of related experience or PhD with 5+ years of related experience leading large-scale enterprise engineering projects or programs.
  • 5+ years of experience using Agile methodologies and SCRUM frameworks for program management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fine-tuned understanding of and expertise in Lean Enterprise / Agile / Kanban practices and supporting tools.
  • Ability to understand, discuss, and communicate technical concepts with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Able to communicate well with cross-functional team members, efficiently collaborate with and influence team members to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community environment.
  • Must have strong coordination and facilitation skills and be willing to work with geo-distributed teams.
  • Comfortable interpreting data to translate and present as business insights.
  • Experience with collaboration tools, defect tracking tools, data visualization applications, and business applications.
  • Consistent track record of successful sophisticated program management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
