Overview
The State of Oregon is seeking a skilled Operations Policy Analyst to join our team.
As an Operations Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring federal and state legislation for changes to the rehabilitation program and providing information to management for operational decision making. You will also be responsible for compiling reports of data for various purposes, including federal and state reporting requirements, training needs based on changes in legislation and agency procedures, and consultation to agency staff on the agency computerized case management system as well as on agency policies and procedures for rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring federal and state legislation for changes to the rehabilitation program
- Providing information to management for operational decision making
- Compiling reports of data for various purposes, including federal and state reporting requirements
- Consultation to agency staff on the agency computerized case management system
- Consultation to agency staff on agency policies and procedures for rehabilitation services
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills
- Two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work
- Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience
- Strong analytical skills with data management, Excel, Outlook, developing forms and similar applications
- Preparing, facilitating and presenting trainings to individuals or groups of professional staff
- Demonstrated experience with policy development, implementation and interpretation, program compliance, or related work
- Strategic and critical thinker with ability to collect, organize and evaluate information to produce recommendations for action
Work Environment
This is a full-time, permanent, SEIU represented position with a hybrid work schedule available after the onboarding process and integration to the organization has been completed. The position will require occasional travel to various locations throughout the State of Oregon.
