This position requires a Doctorate-level license in clinical psychology (LP) or the ability to become licensed for independent practice within six months. The incumbent shall possess a valid driver's license and provide a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.

Scott County is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to provide professional psychological services for children and adults, including psychological testing and interpretation, diagnostic assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention.

The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals, as well as providing direct treatment services to individuals and groups. They will also consult with other personnel, professionals, and agencies regarding mental health services.

The majority of the work is direct client service, with a focus on psychological assessment. Work is performed in an office setting.

Essential Duties

Performs various psychological evaluations, including forensic, cognitive, personality, and adaptive functioning assessments.

Provides clinical supervision to doctoral-level psychology interns, including orientation, training, and ongoing supervision.

Performs crisis intervention and diagnostic assessments to provide information regarding a client's mental health status, needs, and eligibility for other services.

Provides consultation and training to others, conducts individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, and participates in clinical peer reviews.

Attends and participates in various meetings and works the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.

Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
