Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Scott County. The successful candidate will provide professional psychological services to children and adults, including psychological testing and interpretation, diagnostic assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate-level license in clinical psychology and the ability to become licensed for independent practice within six months.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing various psychological evaluations, including forensic, cognitive, personality, and adaptive functioning assessments.
- Providing clinical supervision to doctoral-level psychology interns, including orientation, training, and ongoing supervision.
- Performing crisis intervention and diagnostic assessments to provide information regarding a client's mental health status, needs, and eligibility for other services.
- Providing consultation and training to others, including individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Participating in clinical peer reviews and attending various meetings.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Doctorate-level license in clinical psychology (LP) or the ability to become licensed for independent practice within six months.
- A valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.
Selection for this position will be based on a minimum qualifications screening and rating of training and experience. Top candidates will be forwarded to the hiring manager or supervisor for consideration for interview and/or additional assessments. Final selection will include a background check and approval by the County Board.
