The American Probation and Mentoring (AMP) organization is dedicated to promoting public safety through effective community-based supervision of offenders.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Probation Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the probation system and be able to effectively supervise and support low to medium risk offenders.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations on defendants, including analyzing prior criminal records and personal data.
  • Compile and evaluate information obtained during investigations and formulate specific recommendations for the court.
  • Supervise offenders, which may require travel to remote areas and developing community resources.
Requirements:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field such as criminal justice, criminology, or psychology is required. Relevant experience in the probation field is preferred but not necessary. Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
