Enhance Patient Care with a Passionate Nursing Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Educator to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our clinical education department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the professional practice and quality patient care within our acute care setting.

About the Role:

  • Develop and coordinate evidence-based educational programs and activities to promote professional competency among nursing and inter-professional staff.
  • Promote employee retention through effective onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
  • Design and facilitate educational activities to address practice gaps and achieve specific outcomes related to knowledge, skill, and practice deficits.
  • Promote and integrate Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to continuously improve patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other clinical field required.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other clinical field preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in an acute care setting required.
  • 2+ years' experience in clinical education preferred.
  • Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice or has an active compact state license.
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required.
