Job Summary

Momentum Midstream Management LLC is seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to join our team. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of instruments and control systems at our plant and field facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine operational and calibration checks on instruments, safety and control equipment, measurement equipment, gas and liquid analyzers, and communications systems.
  • Test, calibrate, and repair safety, control, shut down, and analytical devices on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Maintain instrument and control equipment data log sheets and computer-based preventive maintenance systems.
  • Makes routine and emergency calibrations and adjustments to correct abnormal operation of instruments and controllers and reports such conditions and corrective actions to operators and supervisor.
  • Maintain spare parts inventories for critical safety equipment and spare parts deemed necessary for reliable plant operation.
  • Maintain instruments and control equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
  • Assists in installation, calibration, start-up, commissioning, and programming of instruments and control equipment.
  • Maintain computer equipment and software for plant and office operations when necessary.
  • Maintain test equipment inventory in ready condition.
  • Maintain company communication systems, including telephone, radio, SCADA system, and microwave system.
  • Maintain medium and low voltage AC and DC electrical systems.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of six years' experience in plant and compression instrumentation and electrical work.
  • Must have working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation drawings.
  • Must have a strong background in electronics, computers, programming, control systems, and PLCs.
  • Must have a strong background in medium and low voltage AC and DC electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and electronic engine/compressor control systems, gas detection, and emergency shut down system, operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Must have detailed understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations and operating practices.
  • Working knowledge and skill using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Outlook.
