About the Role

Omnicell is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician IV to join our team in Sarasota, FL. As a Pharmacy Automation Specialist IV, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless daily dispensing of all sterile compounded medications from Omnicell's advanced automated IV equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Management and Maintenance: Ensure the optimal functioning of IV automation equipment, performing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Material Management and Inventory Control: Manage medication inventory levels, ordering medications and consumable supplies as needed.
  • Documentation and Quality Assurance: Diligently review and update documentation, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Communication and Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with customers, providing effective communication and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training and ensure completion of all required documents and compliance with all Pharmacy Services procedures and policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: High school diploma or GED, current non-expired PTCB Certification or via NHA a CPHT / EXCPT, and current State Pharmacy Technician Registration / License for the State of FL (if required/applicable).
  • Experience and Skills: One year of IV Compounding experience, proficient in the use of PPE and hand hygiene techniques, working knowledge of sterile environment requirements, and completed an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
