Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Controls Technician III to join their team in DFW. This individual will lead the installation, startup, and commissioning of Building Automation systems projects. They will participate in reviewing and modifying job-specific programming, uploading project databases and graphics, and setting up and configuring PC workstations, user interfaces, data servers, IP networking devices, routers, switches, mass storage devices, and hubs.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and coordination skills to work with contractors, building owners, and managers in demonstrating system operation, verifying consistency, and aiding with final inspection and testing according to customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, startup, and commissioning of Building Automation systems projects
  • Participate in reviewing and modifying job-specific programming
  • Upload project databases and graphics
  • Set up and configure PC workstations, user interfaces, data servers, IP networking devices, routers, switches, mass storage devices, and hubs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve inconsistencies in functions or sequences of operations
  • Resolve advanced system issues
Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in building automation systems
  • 5+ years of experience specializing in controls
  • Strong background in Distech and Tridium Niagara network
  • Background in IT networks, building controls, or building mechanical systems is desired
  • Valid Driver's license in good standing and must be at least 21 years of age
