We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse to become a vital part of our Wound Care Center team. This is a PART TIME role within the CHRISTUS Health Medical Group, with work scheduled for Wednesdays and Fridays, totaling 8 hours per day. Our clinic operates from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

As a member of our highly skilled and professional team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional, personalized care to our patients and the community. Our advanced wound care center focuses on addressing underlying medical conditions that may impede healing through various specialized techniques, including:

  • Utilizing advanced wound dressings
  • Controlling bacterial growth
  • Coordinating vascular, diagnostic, and interventional procedures
  • Providing advanced compression therapy to manage edema
  • Implementing hyperbaric oxygen therapy for specific wound types

Our ultimate goal is to achieve complete and sustained healing through evidence-based, clinically validated treatment protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect comprehensive medical histories and physical assessments of patients
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, analyze patient data to formulate appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, and document findings
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Order necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications
  • Perform procedures such as sharp debridement of wounds and application of skin grafts or substitutes
  • Prepare and manage prescription orders for medications and controlled substances
  • Provide guidance to patients on wound care, health practices, and illness prevention

Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program, certification by a recognized certification body, and current CPR certification are required.
