Job Summary

Melrose Park Logistics LLC is seeking a skilled Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fleet of 30+ vans/box trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fleet management principles and be able to effectively manage our fleet to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections of company vehicles to ensure they are in good condition and clean
  • Identify and address any vehicle damage or maintenance issues
  • Work with vendors to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best rates for parts and services
  • Analyze fleet operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Manage parts inventory to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Update company systems with vehicle information
  • Handle company insurance claims and complete accident reports
  • Be present at incidents involving drivers and ensure safe return to the station
  • Maintain current fleet list with insurance provider
Requirements
  • Ability to perform light cosmetic repairs
  • Data entry skills
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and ability to get in and out of cargo vans and step vans
  • Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance
  • Previous automotive experience required
