  • Assist the Cook with various tasks as required.
  • Transport food items, including pans and trays, to and from designated areas.
  • Prepare snacks and beverages following established community guidelines.
  • Execute sanitation duties, which include:

    • Sweeping and mopping floors as scheduled.
    • Disposing of waste appropriately.
    • Washing dishes and utensils in accordance with proper procedures.

    • Maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Support meal service operations by:
    • Setting tables for dining.

    • Verifying the accuracy of meal trays before they are served.
    • Clearing tables post-meal and managing waste.
    • Transporting food carts to appropriate areas.
    • Engaging with residents during meal times to foster a welcoming dining atmosphere.
    • Participating in clean-up activities after each meal to prepare for subsequent services.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols to ensure resident well-being.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents and their families.
  • Provide care and services in line with dementia care best practices.
  • Engage in relevant training and educational opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
