Host Opportunity at DraftKings Sports & Social Columbus

Live Hospitality & Entertainment is bringing its first DraftKings Sports & Social to the Columbus area, opening this summer. This immersive sports entertainment and dining experience combines DraftKings' top-rated sports gaming platform with Sports & Social's market leadership in operating high-energy, first-class dining and entertainment venues.

Host Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and take messages/reservations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain an accurate wait list when necessary, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and bid farewell as they depart, creating a lasting positive impression.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner, ensuring a smile and a warm welcome.
  • Communicate effectively with all guests, addressing their needs and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to management immediately, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Coordinate seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service to guests, ensuring a smooth dining experience.
  • Occasionally bus tables when needed to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests.
  • Anticipate the needs of scheduled special parties, ensuring a memorable experience.
Host Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in customer service and/or hosting.
  • Fluent English speaker, with other languages a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests, employees, and third parties in a professional manner.
  • Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to read, review, and understand seating charts.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

The Host position requires the ability to perform the following:

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle objects, including food and utensils, products, and phones.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel, with the ability to move safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
