Job Title: Assembly

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Build and assemble conveyors, hoppers, and other equipment from blueprints and parts books.
  • Install belts, gearboxes, motors, and other components onto metal structures.
  • Prepare the conveyor for shipment by loading and securing the load.
Supervision:

Minimal supervision is required.

Requirements:
  • Education & Training:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting is preferred.
  • Technical Requirements:
    • Mechanical aptitude.
    • Ability to operate an overhead crane.
    • Capacity to load a truck.
    • Proficiency in using hand tools and air tools.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
    • Ability to read a tape measure.
    • Self-motivated and self-starter with a can-do attitude.
Physical Requirements:

Performs climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting; holds and grips objects; exerts in excess of 100lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20lbs of force constantly to move objects. Subject to prolonged periods of walking and standing. Subject to repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Working Conditions:

This position is subject to working both indoors and outdoors, subject to extreme cold and heat due to the weather, subject to noise and subject to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation that could affect the respiratory system or skin. The position is also required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
