Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient examinations, treatments, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct patient interviews, take vital signs, and record medical information in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Prepare examination rooms, patients, and equipment for medical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  3. Assist clinicians with patient care, including administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate records.
  4. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and complete necessary paperwork and forms.
  5. Inventory, order, and replenish medical supplies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to patient needs and concerns.
Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification required; Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent experience a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information; effective communication and interpersonal skills essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
