Role Summary

The Audio Visual Specialist at Answers in Genesis is tasked with delivering exceptional audio and visual technology services and support for the organization, including the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. This role encompasses responsibilities such as live event assistance, technical troubleshooting, exhibit AV support, and the operation and upkeep of all AV systems across various facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence others through a service-oriented approach aimed at making a lasting impact.   • Support daily operations at the Ark and Museum, including but not limited to: exhibit AV, VR troubleshooting, event audio, video, and lighting, as well as conference room AV support.
  • Manage live audio, IMAG switching, and lighting operation and programming.
  • Ensure timely and proper maintenance of all equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with the AV Manager for the procurement of daily supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Must be in agreement with and able to affirm our Statement of Faith.
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Regularly attend a local Bible-believing church.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as support may be required outside of standard hours.
  • Availability to work weekends is necessary.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders is required.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual capable of completing tasks independently.
  • Possess a servant's heart.
Education & Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facility audio/visual installation and maintenance is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in live sound and lighting support is advantageous.
  • Experience in touring, concert, and conference audio and lighting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Alcorn McBride, Crestron, and Christie Digital Projectors is preferred.
  • Experience with Q-sys and Dante Digital Audio is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ETC EOS Lighting control is beneficial.
  • Experience with Green-Hippo media servers and ProPresenter is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Yamaha audio consoles and Shure wireless systems is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is expected.
  • Some experience with servers and networking is a plus.
  • Any formal training or degree related to AV is considered an asset.
