About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on 6 Main, a newly renovated 30-bed Surgical Specialties Unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional post-operative care to patients undergoing joint replacement, spinal surgery, foot and/or ankle surgery, urological procedures, reconstructive plastic surgery, and wound management.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and clinical pharmacists, to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent required; BSN enrollment within 6 months of start date and completion within 3 years.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience in a similar setting.
  • DC Registered Nurse License and CPR certification required.
