About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Produce Order Specialist to oversee the purchasing and replenishment of produce through proper buying procedures. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for monitoring and acting upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that our inventory levels remain optimal, and we maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Replenishment: You will be responsible for purchasing and replenishing produce through proper buying procedures, ensuring that our inventory levels remain optimal and meeting customer demand.
  • Inventory Management: You will monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Spoilage Control: You will control spoilage and shrink, achieving turn goals and participating in inventory counts.
  • Documentation: You will complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Extensive Produce Product Knowledge: You will have extensive knowledge of produce products, including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances, and trends.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, vendors, and customers.
  • Basic Math Skills: You will have basic math skills, with the ability to accurately manage inventory levels and perform calculations.
  • Computer Literacy: You will have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.
