We're seeking a High-Tech Business Development Manager to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As a key member of our Legal and Commercialization Branch, you will drive the development and strategic management of our IP portfolio, orchestrate the commercialization of our research, and forge new partnerships to support our core purpose.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of professional experience leading programs that promote research and development and commercialize IP through partnerships. They will also possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, a strong customer-service orientation, and a keen sense of professionalism and collegiality.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic management of our IP portfolio, overseeing all aspects of our technology transfer program, and supervising a team of technology transfer professionals. They will also provide thought leadership in the structure and negotiation of high-value IP agreements and mutually beneficial research collaborations.
