Position Overview
This role is situated within the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department, contributing to the well-being of personnel.

Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will oversee the daily operations of the Fitness and Wellness Division, managing a team of Non-appropriated Fund employees and contracted fitness instructors.

Essential duties include:

  • Conducting fitness assessments and screening participants for cardiovascular risk factors.
  • Designing personalized fitness and dietary programs tailored to individual health profiles.
  • Leading various fitness classes and providing personal training sessions, ensuring patrons understand safe exercise practices.
  • Instructing on proper techniques for resistance training and cardiovascular equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, daily activities, and client health assessments.
  • Staying updated on the latest fitness trends and integrating new training materials into programs.
  • Collaborating with the Fitness Director to develop educational resources for patrons.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate relevant experience or education in Exercise Science or a related field. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience as a group exercise instructor or possession of accredited certifications is essential.

Additionally, candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular health, nutritional habits, and fitness testing.
  • Skills in emergency response and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Current CPR and first aid certifications.
