Job Title: Program Auditor
About the Role:
The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled Program Auditor to join our team. As a Program Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits of our facilities' service delivery systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards, laws, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits and reviews to determine compliance with certification requirements, standards, laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare written reports detailing the findings and recommendations of audits and reviews.
  • Coordinate activities related to surveys by the Health and Human Services Commission for recertification, incidents, and complaints.
  • Participate as a team member in the development and implementation of plans of correction following audits and reviews.
  • Coordinate data collection, audits, and analysis to prepare reports as required by the Health and Human Services Commission.
  • Write or participate in writing policies and procedures.
  • Provide consultation and interpretation of rules and standards for use in program planning and evaluation.
  • Regularly review OPM and POR manuals for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other policies.
  • Develop instructional materials and conduct staff training.
  • Facilitate meetings and participate in resident programming/facility committees.

Requirements:
  • Experience in a human services field.
  • Ability to perform complex audits related to programs and inspections in a residential service setting.
  • Knowledge of state and federal standards, laws, and regulations pertinent to the facility, including ICF/IDD standards and the Texas Administrative Code (TAC), HHSC rules and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems in programming areas, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ability to write or participate in writing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to provide effective oversight of staff activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to provide program consultation and conduct training sessions.
