Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in the operational success of Jan C Gawthrop Dvm Pc. This position involves the precise preparation of orders for dispatch. The environment is dynamic and communication-intensive, with the potential for sudden changes. Responsibilities also include receiving incoming shipments and assisting in maintaining the overall organization of the warehouse. The Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Shipping & Warehouse Manager and collaborate closely with warehouse staff, field representatives, veterinarians, and the broader team, as well as clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the quality and quantity of goods received from transport vehicles; address any discrepancies with carriers and management as per company protocols.
- Replenish supplies and manage inventory levels, coordinating with the Purchasing Manager as necessary.
- Maintain accurate shipment records to ensure customer orders are current and provide necessary documentation to accounting and related departments.
- Operate equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts for material transport on the shipping dock, following safety certifications.
- Occasionally deliver orders along specified routes.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and safe driving practices.
- Basic understanding of animal husbandry, particularly livestock.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while ensuring precision.
- Proficiency in using navigation tools, including GPS and mapping applications, for route planning.
- Capability to maintain logs and records effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions independently while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.

Physical Requirements:
- Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to load and unload packages in various weather conditions, with or without assistance.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods.
