We are seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in driving excellence within our Corporate Accounting division, where you will have the opportunity to work on significant projects that shape our financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate general ledger maintenance, journal entry evaluations, and thorough account reconciliations.
- Provide mentorship and hands-on support to team members, ensuring timely completion of tasks while cultivating a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Lead the preparation and review of financial reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage the consolidation of financial statements using advanced tools and oversee the elimination of inter-company balances.
- Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of accounting transactions and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and proper classification.
- Oversee the documentation for complex transactions, including intercompany settlements and contributions.
- Act as the primary contact for external audits and facilitate various audit processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Tax Department to ensure timely completion of tax deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of extensive accounting experience, with significant leadership roles in a reputable Public Accounting firm or a complex corporate setting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience managing teams of five or more and collaborating with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
- Expertise in Oracle ERP systems, particularly with GL Manager functionalities.
- Demonstrated success in driving automation within accounting processes.
- Strong Excel skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Results-driven approach with a history of meeting tight deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and developing a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences.
