Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate general ledger maintenance, journal entry evaluations, and thorough account reconciliations.
  • Provide mentorship and hands-on support to team members, ensuring timely completion of tasks while cultivating a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage the consolidation of financial statements using advanced tools and oversee the elimination of inter-company balances.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of accounting transactions and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and proper classification.
  • Oversee the documentation for complex transactions, including intercompany settlements and contributions.
  • Act as the primary contact for external audits and facilitate various audit processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Tax Department to ensure timely completion of tax deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of extensive accounting experience, with significant leadership roles in a reputable Public Accounting firm or a complex corporate setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing teams of five or more and collaborating with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Oracle ERP systems, particularly with GL Manager functionalities.
  • Demonstrated success in driving automation within accounting processes.
  • Strong Excel skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Results-driven approach with a history of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and developing a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences.
