Key Responsibilities
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze, summarize, and present financial information to senior managers
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present results
  • Participate in setting financial standards and in internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Plan, assign, and review work of Staff Accountants
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to maximize efficiency and save costs
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field of study
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including the month-end/year-end close process
  • Experience with general ledger functions and creating financial statements
  • Experience developing basic SQL queries using applications such as Power BI, Alteryx, Access or IDEA
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook). Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • CPA or desire to pursue a plus
  • Public accounting (Big 4) experience desirable
  • Lease accounting experience desirable and/or experience in the financial service business desirable
  • Experience with SAP and Blackline desirable
