Job Overview

The ISR Operations Planner will play a crucial role in supporting the Space Operations Command (SpOC) by delivering intelligence assistance across various facets of the Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) Office. This position encompasses operational planning, ongoing capability deployment, and exercise facilitation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Response Coordination: Develop and provide comprehensive staff packages in response to directives from Higher Headquarters (HHQ), including Evaluation Request Messages (EReqM) and USSF Evaluation Response Messages (EResM).
  • Exercise Management: Actively participate in the execution of exercises, overseeing and managing SpOC units and space events to ensure effective operational performance.
  • Compliance Tracking: Monitor exercise achievements and adherence to critical elements such as objectives, scenarios, organizational structure, and campaign strategies.
  • Support Tasks: Assist the IJSTO Office in engaging with Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) and other participants during exercises.
  • Operational Security (OPSEC): Provide OPSEC support, including the development, review, and staffing of OPSEC and MILDEC plans to facilitate operational planning and exercise support.
  • Intelligence Representation: Serve as an intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) at various meetings and forums, identifying and addressing intelligence requirements and processes.
  • Documentation Review: Develop and review critical documents such as CCMD CONOPS, Orders, OPLAN/CONPLAN Annex S, and other IJSTO products as necessary.
  • Exercise Oversight: Oversee the SpOC exercise program, ensuring effective management and compliance through the Lessons Learned process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as intelligence, space, or systems engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in military planning is essential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong critical thinking and initiative.
  • Effective communication skills with MAJCOM staff and officers.
  • Experience in coordinating intelligence exercises at the MAJCOM level.
  • Familiarity with classified environments.
  • Knowledge of Air Force Instruction interpretation.

Compensation: In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $115,000 to $125,000. Sigmatech considers various factors when extending an offer, including experience, education, key skills, and contractual requirements.
