Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers and patients, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a positive experience.
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow, ensuring efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
  • Process prescriptions, verify medicine, and check for possible interactions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Lead inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Support the execution of the Pickup program and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy environment.
  • Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the correct use of processes and tools to drive efficiency within the pharmacy.
Requirements
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
  • Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access information online).
