Key Responsibilities- Support the development of advanced trajectory optimization algorithms and techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate trajectory optimization into our space mission planning and execution
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations to ensure the success of our space missions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in trajectory optimization and apply this knowledge to improve our space mission planning and execution
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical, astronautical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics
- 8+ years of experience in flight mechanics, maneuver optimization, hypersonic vehicle modeling, or trajectory modeling and simulation
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, C++, Fortran, Python, or MATLAB
- Working knowledge of optimization theory and advanced numerical methods
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Advanced degree in aeronautical, astronautical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics
- 15+ years of experience in flight mechanics, maneuver optimization, hypersonic vehicle modeling, or trajectory modeling and simulation
- Experience with orbit mechanics, hypersonic flight simulation, optimal control, flight mechanics, and trajectory modeling and simulation
The Aerospace Corporation offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $129,000 - $199,300, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
