Job Overview

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join their team in the Permian Basin of West Texas and South-East New Mexico. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation systems in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure automation systems, including Totalflow X series flow computers and G4 XRC and XFC boards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automation systems, including Plunger Lifts and Master Chief Control valves.
  • Program and configure Red Lion HMIs and FW Murphy Centurion Compressor Control Panels.
  • Experience with Ubiquity radios and cameras, including connecting radios to G4 boards and setting up communication.
  • Maintain and repair existing communication systems, including Totalflow G4 XRC, Totalflow G4 XFC, Ubiquity Radios, Ubiquity Cameras, Red Lion HMIs, and FW Murphy Centurion Compressor Control Panels.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience as an automation, instrumentation, or process controls technician or field engineer.
  • A 2-year associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is preferred.
