We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at MediLodge of Taylor. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Job Summary:The LPN coordinates and provides nursing care for residents, supervises and guides clinical staff members, and ensures that residents receive the best possible care. Responsibilities:- Coordinates and provides nursing care for residents, including administering medications and performing treatments.
- Supervises and directs junior staff members and CNAs, ensuring that they are providing high-quality care to residents.
- Documents resident conditions and nursing needs, accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders, and ensures that supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
- Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel, ensures that inventory and supplies are maintained on the unit, and communicates need for housekeeping, maintenance, or dietary assistance.
- Performs other tasks as assigned, including interviewing applicants and recommending hires, participating in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff, and supervising nursing unit, which includes scheduling and directing the nursing staff.
- Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN school of nursing.
- Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
- Valid CPR certification.
- One year experience in nursing preferred.
- Leading market wages starting at $33.20-$42.30 per hour (based on experience, shift, and $3.20/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive).
