Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensure all facilities, including offices, breakrooms, and washrooms, are cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis.
  • Sanitation Support: Provide additional sanitation support to the packhouse and greenhouse as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain janitorial inventory and reduce the use of disposable items where possible.
  • Food Safety Compliance: Know and apply all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals, SSOPs, and equipment maintenance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift.
  • Production Equipment Maintenance: Dismantle and reassemble production equipment for cleaning.
  • Chemical Handling: Use chemicals according to company guidelines and safe practices.
  • Waste Management: Wash bins, trash cans, containers, and other items for the greenhouse and packhouse.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Use special protective equipment, such as glasses, gloves, and uniforms, as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 1 year of sanitation or janitorial experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Lift, push, pull, pick, or carry overhead a minimum of 25 lbs. Bend, stoop, twist, walk, grasp, push, and pull repeatedly 90% of the time.
Work Environment

The Facilities Sanitation Specialist will work in a greenhouse and packhouse environment, with temperatures varying depending on the location and time of year. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times.
