Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear, concise, and informative documentation to meet the needs of our target audience.
  • Evaluate project requirements and analyze audience needs to recommend appropriate documentation.
  • Drive process improvements and document guidelines/standards to ensure consistency in content style.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
  • Act as a lead and subject matter expert for technical writing team, mentoring other writers on best practices.
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other team members to collect source information, obtain technical reviews, and test functionality, as necessary.
  • Participate in team initiatives to establish style and process guidelines, provide input into tool and usability decisions, and contribute occasionally to internal documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing.
  • Experience with DITA.
  • Demonstrated experience writing documentation for targeted audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, learn new skills quickly, and balance multiple projects.
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Knowledge of technical writing standards and familiarity with common style guides.

Salary: USD Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs.
