Eliot's Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program is seeking a highly skilled Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with substance abuse treatment needs to exercise autonomy in all aspects of their life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals in identifying choices and developing skills in self-advocacy
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure that the individual's perspective is always included, that preferences are recognized, and that choices are maximized
  • Provide training and consultation to staff to facilitate the understanding of individual perspectives as needed
  • Provide guidance to individuals in the recovery process, including advocacy, support, and education
  • Promote hope and empowerment through meetings and support with individuals

Requirements:

  • Experience with substance abuse counseling and advocacy
  • Empathetic and motivated to improve the lives of adults with mental illnesses
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop lasting relationships with individuals and staff
  • Ability to work in a community-based setting with office in Malden, serving clients in surrounding towns
