Job Summary:

As a valued member of the University Health System- San Antonio team, the Inpatient Nursing Attendant plays a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support. This position requires a high level of compassion, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider certification is required.
  • Completion of a recognized nurse aide training program or medical assistant program with externship experience is preferred.
  • Nurse aide certification with recent experience is preferred.
