Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our esteemed healthcare facility. This role offers a competitive $10,000 Sign-On Bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the ER/Inpatient Manager, the Inpatient Registered Nurse will:

  • Provide both direct and indirect patient care in a Medical-Surgical environment.
  • Evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform various patient assessments and administer medications as per nursing protocols.
  • Promote patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families on conditions and self-care.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding changes in patient conditions.
Emergency Room Duties:

In a Charge role, responsibilities include:

  • Directing nursing activities in the Emergency Room.
  • Providing professional nursing care to patients in emergency situations.
  • Triaging patients based on their physical and psychological needs.
  • Conducting focused assessments promptly according to established guidelines.
Administrative Duties:

Responsibilities also encompass:

  • Maintaining cost awareness and adhering to staffing schedules.
  • Supervising other nursing staff and directing ancillary personnel.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Hold a valid Registered Nurse license from the Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical setting.
  • Possess BLS certification and be willing to obtain ACLS and PALS certifications shortly after hire.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be prepared to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Work in a clean, well-lit environment while managing various physical demands.
