Position Overview:

The Facility Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing various client accounts, overseeing the activities of personnel involved in the upkeep and maintenance of office spaces, as well as other commercial or institutional facilities.

This role entails managing multiple job locations.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to the position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary. This job description is subject to modification.
The Facility Operations Supervisor conducts interviews, hires, and trains new staff members.
Addresses and resolves employee and client concerns.
Delegates tasks to team members and reviews completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Monitors and enforces safety protocols with new hires, including site-specific training.
Procures, distributes, and orders essential supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition.
Tracks employee hours or supervises timekeeping.
May perform the duties of supervised staff as required.

Responsible for conducting site evaluations and maintaining communication with clients, providing monthly updates on the status of the facility or ongoing projects.

Accountable for managing and monitoring labor expenses against project budgets.
Expected to attend all management meetings and provide updates.
Must be present at the office unless working on-site or with prior management approval.

Supervisory Duties:
Oversees hourly cleaning staff and partner teams. Executes supervisory responsibilities in alignment with the organization's policies and relevant laws. May oversee multiple sites lacking a dedicated site manager.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience, or a degree from a four-year college or a two-year technical institution.
Ability to apply common sense to execute detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions.
Capacity to learn fundamental principles and techniques.
Aptitude for recognizing identification numbers on materials and the ability to read and comprehend numerical data and volumes.
Bi-Lingual – Spanish preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Completion of a one-year certificate program from a college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be fulfilled by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with arms and hands.

The employee must be able to stoop, kneel, or crawl. The employee may occasionally be required to talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
