Director, Legal Operations Transformation Services

At KPMG, we're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Legal Operations Transformation Services team. As a Director, you'll be responsible for delivering high-impact projects that drive business value and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead delivery teams on Legal Operations Transformation engagements, including strategic law department assessments, technology optimization, and organizational design initiatives.
  • Manage engagements according to KPMG's financial and cost management policies, developing and optimizing approaches to managing and executing projects.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities for Legal Operations Transformation engagements and serve as the primary point of contact for client-specific needs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage staff working on assigned projects, directing and leading change management initiatives to support the implementation of new legal processes, technologies, and systems.
  • Develop responses to requests for proposals and lead/support new business development opportunities, acting with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum ten years of recent experience working in a corporate law department in a legal operations function and/or experience at a consulting firm with a focus on legal operations.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; JD, MBA, or master's degree from an accredited law, business, or graduate school preferred.
  • Experience leading large-scale legal operations projects with demonstrated strong project management skills, including experience selecting, implementing, and deploying various leading legal technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of client stakeholders, including senior leaders and executives.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
