Public Sector Sales Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly driven and competitive Public Sector Sales Development Specialist to join our team at Staples, Inc. Located in Washington state, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive growth and conversion in the public sector market.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for driving $1 million in new revenue from new customers while building programs to orchestrate sales growth in our public sector (SLED) and commercial market.
- Qualify prospects based on customer size, spend, and potential.
- Rout opportunities to fellow sales team members based on sales qualifiers.
- Schedule appointments and meet with prospective customers in person to present Quill values and solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong presentation skills and be able to create engaging presentations to drive prospect engagement and conversion. They will also leverage education contracts, including Cooperative Purchasing partnerships and Bids, to acquire new education customers or drive growth for existing ones.
Key ResponsibilitiesSome of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Meeting and exceeding monthly/quarterly quotas and key metrics.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in CRM at all times, including activity logs and pipeline.
- Working closely with sales leadership and peers to drive revenue beyond traditional office supplies.

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, plus additional benefits, including:
