Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer specializing in VIP IT support for an initial rolling contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering on-site, face-to-face technical support for VIP clients within a Business As Usual (BAU) environment, which includes installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Managing service requests, fault calls, and planned changes, while providing support for VOIP telephony and high-level AV systems.
- Supporting a variety of technologies including Windows 7 & 10, MS Office Suite, and hardware repair.
- Responding to inquiries regarding system operations and malfunctions.
- Offering advice on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to enhance performance and satisfaction.
- Demonstrating ownership of problems and solutions, collaborating with external vendor support teams as necessary.
- Providing comprehensive support for both laptops and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
- Exhibiting excellent client-facing skills and delivering end-to-end user support.
- Assisting users with document recovery, email management, and mobile provisioning.
- Working autonomously within a team as a systems/product specialist to support end users effectively.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in Market Data Applications such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, and electronic trading platforms.
- Experience with API/DDE troubleshooting and SQL query writing.
- Proficiency in hardware and software installation, including deployment tools.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Field experience with a diverse range of technologies and services.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across various operating systems.
Qualifications:
- At least two of the following certifications: PC/Laptop OEM Maintenance, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS).
Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role is preferred.
