We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Assistant Nurse Manager at UVA Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide leadership and support to our nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the nurse manager to develop and implement unit goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing coaching and guidance to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare team members, patients, and families, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Assist with recruitment, retention, and development of nursing staff, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
- At least two years' experience as a registered nurse, with a strong background in clinical leadership and patient care.
- Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
